discovery360.jpg:

Cruise with 360 Discovery to paradise and back. Soak in the heritage and culture of Coromandel town, experience a close encounter with a cheeky Takahe called Greg on Tiritiri Matangi, visit an island paradise called Motuihe, or enjoy a hop-on hop-off Harbour Discovery cruise around the beautiful Auckland harbour.

The Hauraki Gulf is home to more than 50 beautiful islands, all of which offer something unique to visitor, with crisp fresh air, clear blue waters and unique flora and fauna. Tiritiri Matangi Island is situated in the Hauraki Gulf. From the moment you step onto the island to the moment you leave, you will be entranced by the serenade of gentle birdsong and the lush native bush.

Tiritiri Matangi is one of the world's most successful volunteer conservation projects. It has been re-vegetated with around 300,000 native trees and consequently 12 of New Zealand's endangered birds and 3 reptile species have been re-introduced.

Whangaparaoa

Whangaparaoa is Maori for "Bay of Whales", and pods of orca and dolphin are still spotted in the waters off the peninsula. The peninsula stretches east for 11 kilometres into the waters of the Hauraki Gulf to the north of East Coast Bays. The island of Tiritiri Matangi lies three kilometres off its eastern tip.

The town of Whangaparaoa sits on the peninsula's southwestern shore, and is regarded as the start of the section of coastline known as the Hibiscus Coast. Communities along the peninsula include Red Beach, Stanmore Bay, and Manly. At the end of the peninsula is Shakespear Regional Park.
